Robert
Weber
Gemälde Katharsis

Artist: Robert Weber

Born in Jena in 1964, the painter Robert Weber moved to West Berlin in 1985 and studied painting at the University of Arts from 1986 to 1993 in Berlin. In 1993 he finished his studies as a master student of Prof. Walter Stöhrer.

A focus of his painting are works on gold ground, reminiscent of icon painting, painted with bright colors in expressive application. Other works by Robert Weber play with a more or less implied figural representation, which animates the visitor to an in-depth look and leaves a lot of scope for discoveries and interpretations.
